In high school, we were tasked with somewhat complex 40 mile a charity bike ride. The teacher in charge: “If you get lost, go back to where you last knew you were”!
At first glance, this sounds ridiculous. On further examination from an educator’s point of view, it demonstrates genius. We all get lost from time to time. The meaning here is that we, as educators, have supported you in developing your self-confidence, and your logic in thinking to find your way back. What a gift!
